Is a size extra small in womens' clothes close to a size extra large in girls' clothes?

I wear a size XS in womens' clothing, but I was wondering if I'd be able to fit a size XL (16) in girls' clothing. I'm asking because I like Polo Ralph Lauren, but they're really expensive & they're girls' clothes are like half the price of the adult sized stuff. Don't laugh at me. =/
