How do I improve my lighting to look like this?

the lighting in the second lot looks as natural as the one's in the first, the difference is the second lot have been subject to post-processing in photoshop or something similar. Quite a few of the second lot look cross processed, which is done by adjusting the curves in PS. But i'd say they've all used available, natural light.
