Fashionable clothes for Short men?

I am male, 18 and about 5'5"/6" at the moment and I have the leg length of someone who is about 5'8"/9" so as you can imagine my torso is kind of short. Basically I have a hard time finding clothes that fit my length AND my width at the same time. I can just about cope with bottoms, tops, t-shirts things like that. But I cannot get away with shirts. If I wear XS the length (arms & torso) is good, but the buttons look and feel like they about to launch (by the way i'm slim, but not skinny)... If I wear S the width is good, but the length makes it look like a dress, and that's not something I'm comfortable with being short already, I don't need clothes that emphasize that. I'd really appreciate: 1. any tips people might have and 2. Any places you might no of that either cater for shorter guys but still have fashionable selections or that just happen to suit shorter guys. Thanks in advance!
